Founded by Jeff Ferrell and Semih Tareen, Black Sunday Productions LLC is dedicated to the production of high quality genre films.
Jeff Ferrell has produced, written and directed two feature films: GHOSTLIGHT in 2012, and DEAD WEST in 2017. DEAD WEST received a wide release by RLJ Entertainment, including to such platforms as Walmart and Netflix. HOLIDAY HELL is his third feature as writer/producer/director. Semih Tareen has produced, written and directed YELLOW (2006) which was released by Arrow Video as part of the Blu-Ray edition of Mario Bava's KILL BABY KILL (2017). His background is as a composer for film. Semih Tareen graduated from the Seattle Film Institute and the Pacific Northwest Film Scoring Program. He also holds a PhD degree in molecular and cellular biology from the University of Washington. In addition to his work in film, he is actively involved in the Seattle biotech industry.
